Peak Therapy is an Independent Children's Speech and Language Therapy Practice based in The Peak District.
We provide speech and language therapy across the High Peak and Peak District.
We also reach out to some other areas of Derbyshire, Cheshire, South Yorkshire and Staffordshire.
Our bespoke therapy packages are personalised and fun and can be delivered at home or in educational settings.

We ensure that the child, family and education team all feel supported.
To ensure the safety and quality of our services, all Speech Therapists undergo a DBS check and are a member of ASLTIP, RCSLT and HCPC.
Peak Therapy offer a free telephone consultation so we can get a clear picture of the kind of support or service is required. The therapist will ask some questions about your child's communication and discuss how we can help.

• Ongoing assessment and therapy with a speech and Language Therapist
• Includes feedback
• These can be delivered in the home or educational setting.
(Up to 45 minutes)
Short reports are available which typically take 1 hour to write, which includes a brief summary of assessment results, advice and recommendations.
Full reports are available which typically take 3 hours to write, which includes detailed assessment results, advice and recommendations.
We provide highly specialist support for Mainstream, Special schools and Integrated Resources.

• Fees - services and associated fees will be agreed in advance of the first session.
• Payment - Peak Therapy will ask you to make a £50 deposit to hold the assessment session and then following payments will be taken on the day of the session. If a payment is missed services will be suspended with immediate effect.
• Cancellation - If the therapist is unable to attend the appointment the maximum amount of notice will be given, no fee will be charged and the appointment will be rearranged for the earliest available time. If a client needs to cancel the appointment, no fee will be charged as long as 24 hours notice is given. If less than 24 hours notice is given the full fee will be charged.
• Consent - consent for assessment and intervention must be given by the child's legal guardian. A consent form will be provided.
• Privacy and sharing of information - information will be treated in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations 2020 (GDPR). Peak Therapy holds a Data Controller registration with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Where it is in the best interests of the child to share information with other professionals consent will be gained from their legal guardian. • Termination of Services - it is within the rights of Peak Therapy to terminate services with 24 hours notice. It is within the rights of the client to terminate services with 24 hours notice.
